HISTORY AND OVERVIEW

CITO’S Annual Regional Summit, inaugurated in 2004, plays a critical role in demystifying Information Technology (IT) topics, and educating and empowering the business community to make effective ICT related decisions. The inaugural Summit in 2004 focused on Information Security. Subsequent themes were: 2005: Wireless Connectivity; 2006: Using ICT in Disaster Preparedness & Recovery; 2007: E-Trade, Limitless Growth Opportunities! Are You Prepared?; 2008: E-Powering Business, Maximizing the Opportunities.

The 2009 Summit will continue this important contribution to national development with the theme “Knowledge Management, A lifeline in these challenging times…”

Along with its public sector partner the Ministry of Mining and Telecommunications, (MMT) CITO is also partnering with major ICT players to bring all the available tools and skills together to efficiently manage knowledge in businesses and organizations.

Participants will be able to access high quality consultations, advice and theoretical solutions from outstanding speakers from the international community. Participants will also be able to make direct contact with world class ICT services that will assist their organizations to move forward.

EXHIBITION

CITO Summit 2009 will showcase Interactive booth exhibits and demonstrations by major industry players, highlighting the way technology can improve efficiency, increase productivity and boost competitiveness.
