As apart of our ongoing training, CITO in partnership with Microsoft will be providing a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS)session, schedule for September 8-11, 2009.
Venue: Microsoft Jamaica Inc., Pan Caribbean Building, 10th Floor, 60 Knutsford Boulevard, Kingston 10
The MOSS 2007: Administration and Troubleshooting 4-day Workshop PLUS course addresses the depths of Microsoft® Office SharePoint Server 2007 deployment, configuration, security, operations, backup & restore, and troubleshooting. MOSS administrators will walk away with a firm grasp on the technical concepts required to successfully operate this world-class collaboration infrastructure.
This session is at no cost to the participants, however persons who are successful in acquiring a seat will be required to have a laptop or PC (need to be made aware in advance) with the following specification.
Host System Minimum Software Requirements
• Windows XP (including SP2 and all updates) or Windows Vista (including SP1 and all updates)
• Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=78095)
• Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
• Adobe Flash Player 7 or higher. (the latest version from www.adobe.com will work)
Host System Minimum Hardware Requirements
• Processor: Pentium IV or equivalent personal computer with processor speed greater than or equal to 2.4 GHz
• Hard Disk - At least 40 GB 7200 RPM;
• RAM - At least 2 GB
Internet access not required, but machines must be networked.
To ensure the high-quality knowledge transfer expected by the attendees of this 4 -day workshop, class size is limited to a maximum of 16 officers.
Early departure on any day is not accepted.
Officers should anticipate consistent start and end times for each day. Persons who are not able to attend all four (4) full days need NOT apply.
Officers will be required to take a 25-question quiz that baselines their knowledge.
